| Dive Description | |
| North North Dry Rocks is named so, simply because it is the first reef north of North Dry Rocks. This reef is marked by three mooring buoys designated with the letters "NN" and is an excellent spot for diving and snorkeling. Just like North Dry Rocks, North North Dry Rocks is a small reef with a single large spur and groove formation. Many swim-throughs, ledges and undercuts make this an exciting dive. Golden brown elkhorn coral and staghorn coral cover the tops of these shallow ledges. Here you will find cooper sweepers enjoying life between the big blades of elkhorn coral, underneath ledges, and in and around crevices and caves. Star coral and starlet coral as well as colorful sponges decorate the rest of the reef and attract many species of tropical fish. This reef is literally a fish watcher's paradise. Tiny neon gobies and silversides can be seen in every direction, and there are several groupers and barracudas that have made this fish-paradise their home. Other fish that are always present on the beautiful reef are angelfish, parrotfish, yellowtails, and damselfish. |
